The International Builder’s Show is host to a number of new product launches each year, but sometimes a few take us by surprise. Such was the case with the unveiling of seven new storage cabinets and chests by DeWalt. Well, actually, these are DeWalt-branded Greenlee(that’s right, the electrical tool & equipment folks) products. Greenlee has a licensing agreement with DeWalt to manufacture and market the line of chests and cabinets but is also continuing to market its own line. The line of storage boxes looks as if they would be at home on the U.S.S. Missouri as ammunition lockers. Our initial inspection of the boxes reminds us of finer days in American manufacturing prowess. They are stout, tough and appear to be solidly constructed.
The new line includes four types of heavy-duty storage chests (DWJB1332, DWJB 2448, DWJB 2460, and DWJB 3048), slant-top (DWJB 3660) and flat-top (DWJB 4860) boxes and a storage cabinet (DWJB 5660L). All boxes in the line are equipped to utilize a shackle less padlock from American Lock®, the most secure padlock available. A reinforced three-inch thick lid and large, sturdy hinges provide added safety and durability. Other features within the line include OSHA-rated skyhooks that allow for fast and safe lifting of storage boxes, especially on the job site.
All storage boxes incorporate Gear Guard™ multi-point locking system and feature a pass-through electrical access port to keep those batteries charged. For more information and pricing call 1-800-435-0786. On the Web, visit www.greenlee.com or www.dewalt.com
